As of January 1st, 2009, Work Fitters Tool and Safety has combined with First Aid 2000 to become A-Z Safety Supply. With the knowledge, resources, personnel, inventory and experience in the Safety marketplace, A-Z Safety Supply will be an opportunity to better serve the Construction, Manufacturing, Industrial and Service businesses of Colorado and Wyoming as well as expand our offering to other regions of the country. Other than the name change basically everything else remains the same. We have the same owner, the same employees, we’re in the same location and we carry the same great products: just a greater variety and quantity on hand.
Why the Change?The owner of Work Fitters Tool & Safety also owns two other businesses that operate solely in the safety arena. One of these is First Aid 2000 (started in March 2000) and the other one is Advanced Fire & Hydro Services (started in April 2007). In addition to these two growing safety service businesses, two-thirds of Work Fitters sales in 2008 were in Safety supplies rather than tools and contractor supplies. So during a planning session with management in late 2008, it was decided that we could best serve the marketplace and continue to grow by focusing on safety as a core competency and expanding our sales and service offering in this area. As such it became necessary to abandon the tool portion of Work Fitter Tool & Safety. Also a new name seemed appropriate to underscore the change. In many ways this is just the natural end result of what has been happening at Work Fitters over the past ten years. What about the Tool portion of Work Fitters Tool & Safety?Although A-Z Safety Supply will NOT be selling any tools or contractor supplies like Work Fitters used to, a new business has opened up right next door to us which will be continuing some limited aspects of the tool portion of Work Fitters. This business, Northern Colorado Tool & Repair, will mostly be focusing on Power Tool Repair and sales of limited Accessories like blades, bits, batteries, chargers and parts. Currently Northern Colorado Tool & Repair is managing all Work Fitters leftover inventory on consignment and will be selling it off sometimes at bargain basement prices. Are you using the same Corporation as before?No. Work Fitters and First Aid 2000 are both Colorado corporations and thus have different Federal Tax ID #'s (FEIN). We have chosen to move the Work Fitters assets into the First Aid corporation thus "changing" our FEIN . Contact our office (see below) if you need a new W-9 to keep on file. Many have already gone out automatically to our existing customers.
